The Akatsuki is an organization of rogue ninja that exists outside the usual ninja village system, and is the most wanted group in all of the shinobi world. Members are S-class criminals and dress in cloaks with red clouds.
Originally founded by Yahiko, Nagato, and Konan, the Akatsuki sought to reform their war-torn world. After Yahiko's death, Nagato reformed the group under the ideal of using fear to achieve peace through pain.
